This Week In London, I’ve Been //
Sipping… Cocktails at Simmons in King’s Cross. Rather alcoholic affairs they were, too. The weekday happy hour lasting until 9pm makes it the ideal place to head for a none-too-expensive drink on a sneaky midweek night out.
Scoffing… truffle and goat’s cheese bites at the launch of the new La Perla store on Sloane Street where one Miss Cara Delevingne held court. Not that we spent much time swanning around her – we were unwilling to leave the food and Aperol spritz-toting waiters alone and my only contribution to Cara’s evening was therefore an slightly inane, chocolatey grin.
Falling… For one old and one brand new hotel in London – The Goring and the London Edition respectively. The bars in both offer good lighting (essential!), supreme comfort and waiters who’ll make sure you want for nothing.
Dancing… At Love & Liquor. A great find, mainly because I love to dance, and there are so few places where one can go to just go for it in London. A spiffing night was had by all, though we were none too impressed by the DJ skills of one Marvin Humes. Perhaps it’s time for JLS to consider a reunion…
