The sky under which I write is currently being criss-crossed with lightning and sheets of rain. I am tapping away with nails adorned in a deepest, darkest russet hue. This seems a perfectly natural state of affairs to me – as the chill sets in and rain starts to pelt us daily, vivid nails just aren’t the ticket anymore, are they? The moodiness of Autumn just seems to call for the darker end of the colour spectrum.
Only two rules for dark nails: 1) They must be neat. Tidy edges with a pointy cotton bud dipped in nail polish remover or use Barry M’s brilliant pen to remove smudges; 2) They must be shiny and unadorned – dark nails look best this way.
