My Infallible Body Skin Duo + Giveaway

Tweet | Facebook | Email

My beauty routine contains a whammy of Dr. Organic’s wares for one very simple reason: they smash it out the court almost every time. Affordable and efficacious, the key ranges in the brand each offer the usual suspects (moisturiser, serum, lip balm etc.) so that if you find an ingredient to be especially helpful or moreish, you can easily find a wealth of products that contain it.

As of today, I’m delighted to report that I’ll be running a Dr. Organic giveaway each week for the coming month on the four ranges I feel are particularly beneficial at this time of year so that some of you might be able to see what has me so enthralled (and for those of you who don’t win, they really are exceptionally affordable so I suggest considering a cheeky purchase on payday this month…).

The Dr. Organic Coconut Oil Range //

This is a trying time for skin, especially so for body skin, which tends to be the victim of gross neglect even by those of us who take excellent care of ourselves from the neck up. Just as it’s been exposed to sun and wind over summer and hardened and bronzed accordingly, it is thrust into jumpers and dried out by the heating.

Coconut oil is the ideal remedy: thanks to the fatty acids and vitamin E contained within, it smooths skin and prevents moisture loss while also being naturally antimicrobial. The sum result of these properties? Skin remains smooth, soft and, for those of you prone to inflammation, spots and redness, it has the added bonus of making skin less bumpy and upset.

Dr. O’s take on Coconut Oil is quite literally refreshing – extracts of orange and lemon peel lift the sweetness of the base oil and make the experience of smoothing the moisturisers from this range on slightly addictive. This has served me well – as I like the scent so very much I’m more inclined to make the time to use it, finding the process joyful rather than administrative.

The two I am addicted to are the Dr. Organic Coconut Oil Melt (£9.49 here) and Dr. Organic Coconut Oil Souffle (£9.49 here). I use the former prior to going to bed (warming it under a hot tap if it has solidified in the cold) so it can really go to work overnight and the latter in the morning as it is quickly absorbed. Together, they’ve done away with the dryness that was threatening the wellbeing of my skin and provided a little somethin’ somethin’ by way of scent.
