CLEANSE // Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser, £34 here. I like this cleanser in the morning as: it doesn’t foam (foam = skin Kryptonite), takes a mere minute to use and leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped. While this isn’t on for long enough for the AHA/BHAs to really go to work, it still contributes to keeping easily-clogged skin clear and my skin seems to love it.
TONER // Pai Lotus & Orange Blossom Toner, £27 here. In case you hadn’t guessed, I love me a toner – nothing makes me feel more awake than a nice, lightly fragranced splash of skincare on my clean face. Sigh. Anyyywaayyy… If you like toner and you have sensitive skin, this is well worth your pounds – Pai make some of the ‘cleanest’ skincare around and this one’s brilliant on dry and sensitised skin.
PRE-SERUM // SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, £62 here. I’ve only just started testing this one so really can’t offer a recommendation as such, but Kate Bosworth recently mentioned it’s one of her all-time favourite products and she looks pretty damn amazing of skin, so…
SERUM // Su-Man Velvet Skin Brightening Serum, £98 here, or Clinique Custom Smart Serum, £48 here, or Codage Hydration Serum, £64 here, at the moment. Sometimes, I layer a few of these (I always start with the hyaluronic one as it’s the thinnest) and I am by no means faithful to these three as my serious serum addiction remains unquenchable – I’m always on the search for the ultimate one.
EYE GEL // Resultime by Collin Eye Perfector Serum, £30 here. My love for serums doesn’t stop at the face – of late I only need to hear the word ‘serum’ coupled with ‘eye’ and I’m all in. Lightweight and deeply absorbed to the layer where it has a shot in hell of actually making a difference to the appearance of the skin around eyes, this one’s really agreeing with me at the moment. As a side note, if you suffer from morning puffiness, switch to a gel pronto and keep it in the fridge – it may be the oldest trick in the book, but it’s still very effective.
SPF // Perricone MD Photo Plasma, £57 here. I really don’t need to bang on about this one anymore, do I? I did it here and here and here. Also, WEAR SPF. Read this, buy in, use everyday. Over and out.
