Before I left for the Seychelles I felt all kinds of gross. I wasn’t sleeping enough or eating particularly well and stress was making me anxious. As a result, not only did I feel shabby, I looked pretty bad: pale, puffy, spotty.
On one such fine day Laura Mercier asked me to take all my make-up off in front of an HD camera in BROAD DAYLIGHT. And you know what? I did it – not just to prove to myself that I could bare my bare face to lots of people on the internet, but also for a cause – learning how to apply base to cover redness and blemishes and illuminate the skin is a brilliant skill to have and I wanted to be part of illustrating that anyone can improve their appearance with the right technique and products.
