Despite having never woken to find a stocking gracing the end of my bed on Christmas morning (my mother, she’s Austrian – things are done slightly differently over there), I love the idea of them and hankered after one as a child.
Fortunately for me*, the novelty of getting little snippets of this and that needn’t wear off in adulthood, particularly when gifting beauty – stocking fillers are relatively inexpensive way to offer a taste of a brand or product someone might not otherwise try. Here are those I’d very much like to wake up to… //
* I fully intend on having a stocking in my household this year – any tips on what ought to be within would be much appreciated.
Topshop Lip Bullet Duo in Tamed & Joyride, £1o here / One bright red, one deep brown lipstick bullet of very good quality at this price point that’d pretty much suit anyone.
Kitsch Hair Ties, £5.97 here / Great hair ties that don’t leave huge dents in their wake, these glittery incarnations please the magpie in me and I fully intend on forcing each female member of my family to don one on Christmas day.
Aromatherapy Associates The Star, £10 here / Can’t go wrong. Extend that rule to everything Aromatherapy Associates – if in doubt, go AA.
Jo Malone London English Pear & Freesia Bath Salts, £30 here / Whoa these are expensive – for £30, you get three sachets of bath stuff. That said, they smell wonderful and I know there are those for whom nothing but a Jo Malone package will do…
Browtician Crystal Rouge Tweezer, £5.29 here / Prosaic, yes, but tweezers are undeniably useful and the little crystal makes this pair look a little more jazzy for the occasion.
REN Glow and Go, £14 here / These two respectable mini sizes of RENs much-loved glycolactic and flash rinse face masks would be a winner with anyone dabbing in new skincare or of with skin of a sensitive persuasion.
This Works Dream Team, £10 here / The pillow spray is iconic, the stress less rollerball a beauty editor’s favourite. Give these to anyone who struggles to sleep – they’ll likely be delighted you introduced them to it.
Korres Mini Shower Gels, £10 here / Korres body products are always, always a joy. The smells, textures and price point are all pleasing and I often turn to them for gifts.
Claudia The Joystick Eyeliner & Smudger Duo, £12.50 here / An eyeliner and good quality smudger curated by the queen of eyeliner, this duo would make a brilliant gift for a fan of the black stuff.
