The Giveaway / An Entire Skincare Routine by Emma Hardie – CLOSED

Tweet | Facebook | Email

I’m often asked if there are any brands I rate in their entirety. It’s a toughie to answer; often a single stand out product will carry most of the rest of the range, and so I’m left answering in sentences with caveats (e.g. “such and such make a really good serum, but don’t touch their SPF, it never rubs in”, “I’ll never be able to do without their concealer, but forget the foundation” etc.).

Emma Hardie is one of the rare few from which I’ll happily recommend each product, not only because they get on well with my skin (they do), but also because they rarely arouse anything but praise from others – yes, the Moringa Cleansing Balm is a cult hero of the range and everyone I know who’s ever tried it cites it as a favourite, but mention the lesser-known SPF or serum to someone who’s tried it, and I often find they’re met with as much enthusiasm.

I’m delighted to say that Hardie agreed to give one of my readers an armful of her products to help overhaul their skin. See below for the entry details and the list of products included. For those of you who just can’t hold out until the winner is picked, here’s the lowdown on each and every product should you be wanting to invest – spring is, after all, ever such a good time to renew one’s skin efforts //

Emma Hardie Cleanser Review

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm with Cleansing Cloth / Undeniably Emma’s most famous offering, this cleanser provides enough slip for a good massage, softens skin and removes all debris without drying. To use / At night take a blueberry-sized lump, massage into skin, remove with a warm, damp flannel. I like to either use an oil cleanser prior, or chase with an exfoliating cleanser, depending on how my skin’s behaving. Can be used in the mornings too, but I prefer a more lightweight option.

Emma Hardie Dual Action Professional Cleansing Cloths / Though a fan of the humble flannel, these give a little extra bang for your buck – on the one side: flannel, on the other: a micro fibre cloth that can be used to sweep dead skin cells off the surface. Emma advises using it on clean, dry skin for the cheapest exfoliation you’ll ever have.

Emma Hardie Moringa Foaming Cleansing Wash / My recipe for a perfect cleanse = either an oil or the balm followed by this to gently exfoliate and wash away any residue from the day. Also makes for a great morning cleanser. To use / Massage onto dry face and add water once you’re satisfied you’ve worked it into crevices. Rinse away with warm or cool (never hot!) water.

Emma Hardie Skincare Range

Emma Hardie Midas Touch Serum / This is one of those great serums that makes your skin feel instantly hydrated (that’s the hyaluronic acid’s doing) and calmed (thanks, chamomile and lavender) but that also has an effect on elasticity, brightness and smoothness over time. To use / Two – three at most – squirts tapped or smoothed over clean skin morning and night.

Emma Hardie Age Support Eye Cream / Can we just take a moment to appreciate that EH hasn’t gone down the ‘anti-ageing’ route and has instead chosen more positive language with which to denote that this is a product for those concerned about stuff to do with getting older (lucky us, we who are afforded the luxury of getting older). No witchdoctor-y here, just lab-proven blend of antioxidants and moisturisers to support and rehydrate. To use / Tap a tiny blob (think pomegranate seed per eye) around the orbital areas of the eye with your fourth finger.

Emma Hardie Age Support Face Cream / If nothing but a buttery blanket of moisturiser does it for you, this will be just the ticket. A dollop will cosset, hold in serum overnight and provide instant comfort while drip feeding the skin hyaluronic acid and botanical extracts. To use / Smooth over the entire face after applying serum after cleansing in the evening.

Emma Hardie Protect & Prime SPF 30 / I’ve spoken about this plenty of times (most recently in this vlog) as it’s one of my favourite SPFs. Silky though not greasy, illuminating though not oily, it makes skin look and feel great throughout the day. To use / Smooth 3-4 pumps over your face and neck after your serum’s soaked in.

Emma Hardie Instant Radiance Mask / Just the thing when you’re getting ready for a night out or need some extra oomph, this mask floods skin with hyaluronic acid, fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamins. If I look in the mirror in the morning and look a little peaky, I’ll whack this all over my face while I brush my teeth. To use / Apply a thick layer whenever you need to give your skin a boost and then tissue or rinse off.
