Margaret de Heinrich de Omorovicza, the co-founder of luxury natural skincare brand, Omorovicza, on her life in beauty //
“I met my husband, Stephen, when I was working as a Diplomat. We were both inspired to create Omorovicza after visiting the Budapest healing waters. We started with eight products – basically, everything you need for a classic facial. Bestselling Rejuvenating Night Cream, Queen of Hungary Mist and the Deep Cleansing Mask were all part of this group.
This morning, the Hydra Melting Cleanser, Oxygen Booster mixed with our Instant Perfection Serum along with our Intensive Hydralifting Moisturiser went on my face.
In terms of make-up, I couldn’t live without the Omorovicza Mineral Touch Concealer, a lipstick (currently Nars Rose Gitane), Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, Cle de Peau highlighter, and a Chanel Illusion D’Ombre eyeshadow pot. For hair, I currently love Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray.
Outside of using products, I look after myself by playing tennis, running, and taking classes at Core Collective. If I’m at a spa, it’s likely to be Shutters on the Beach in California, or the Mayr Clinic, both of which I really rate. In terms of eateries, I love Café Kor when we’re in Budapest, and the Chiltern Firehouse in London.
The thing about being an entrepreneur is that you can never truly switch off – even if you are lucky enough to have a fantastic team. A huge sense of responsibility and ambition come along with having your own business. My advice to others starting out would be to plan for growth from an early stage – you need an idea of how you can scale your business and solid production capabilities. We fell down on the latter early on and it caused many headaches.
If I had to choose a motto to represent my attitude, it’d be: ‘it is better to light a candle than curse the darkness.’ “
